A vacation rental team built around calm preparation
Based in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, we look after a small fleet of vacation cars and the people who borrow them.
OUR STORY
Built around vacation, not transactions
Petromare started in Selangor as a small workshop that prepared vehicles for friends planning long-weekend holidays around Peninsular Malaysia. What began as a favour grew into a quiet routine: each car checked, cleaned, fuelled, and noted before the keys changed hands.
Over time, we kept the same rhythm. We rent compact and sedan vehicles for short family or couple holidays, and a comfort-class vehicle for the longer touring weeks that take travellers up to Cameron Highlands, across to Penang, or along the east coast. Each rental is built around the route — not the other way round.
Our mission is straightforward: make the handover and the drive feel like part of the holiday, rather than a hurdle before it.

Pre-rental readiness review
A 24-point checklist covering tyres, lights, fluids, wipers, and cabin condition before each handover.
Road safety walkthrough
Each handover includes a brief safety review — controls, lights, warning lamps, and route awareness for new drivers to Malaysia.
Cabin care
Interior cleaning between rentals, plus a fresh-air ventilation step so the cabin starts the holiday neutral.
Privacy & PDPA alignment
Personal data collected at booking is kept only for the rental and tax-record periods required under Malaysian data law.
Child-seat protocol
Child seats are fitted and reviewed before the family compact handover when requested at booking time.
Quiet support window
A daytime contact line for questions during the rental, with after-hours messages reviewed the following morning.
Values and expertise across vacation rentals
Petromare keeps its work narrow on purpose. We rent vacation cars across Selangor and the wider west coast corridor, and most of our travellers are families on a short break, couples spending three days outside the city, or visitors taking a week to explore the highlands and coast. The vehicles we keep are chosen for those trip lengths.
Selangor sits at a useful starting point for Peninsular Malaysian travel: an easy run north toward Ipoh and the highlands, a southern stretch toward Melaka, or a coastal turn west toward Port Klang and Pulau Pangkor. Our route notes lean on those familiar corridors, and we share them only when they help the rental tier you've chosen.
What we aim to do well is the part most rental services pass over — the handover. The minutes between collecting keys and starting a holiday set the tone for the whole trip. We hold that part with a little more care, a little more time, and a little less rush.
